My Daily Essential Oil Routine for a Calm Gut, Energized Mind & Strong Immunity
In my wellness journey, I’ve learned that healing isn’t just about what we eat—it’s also about what we breathe in, put on our skin, and how we support our nervous system. After getting my food sensitivity results and realizing how much inflammation and stress were impacting my energy and digestion, I turned to essential oils to create a grounding daily ritual.
I use the doTERRA Family Essentials Kit as the foundation for my routine. It’s simple, potent, and covers every need—from digestion and energy to immunity and sleep.
Here’s a peek inside my daily essential oil ritual:
Morning: Detox + Focus

Lemon oil is the first thing I use each day. A drop in warm water (when I’m not avoiding citrus) or simply diffused in my workspace gives me a fresh start. It’s amazing for supporting gentle detox and uplifting my mood.

Peppermint oil is my go-to for energy. I love applying it to the back of my neck before I sit down at my desk. It clears brain fog and instantly sharpens my focus.

Frankincense is my secret weapon for inflammation and clarity. One drop goes under my tongue (if tolerated), or I apply it to my spine and temples with a carrier oil.
Midday: Support Digestion + Defend Immunity
After lunch or anytime my digestion feels off, I turn to:

DigestZen: I rub 1–2 drops diluted on my abdomen to ease bloating, heaviness, and discomfort. It’s a blend of ginger, fennel, and peppermint that really works for me.

On Guard: This immune-boosting blend is something I use preventatively. I’ll dilute a drop and apply it to the soles of my feet, especially during travel or stressful weeks.
Evening: Calm Down + Reset
Winding down is sacred for me—and oils play a big part in this routine:

Lavender goes in my diffuser about 30 minutes before bed. I also rub it on my feet and wrists—it signals my body that it’s time to rest.

Frankincense + Lavender combo: This is my emotional rescue blend. I mix it with a carrier oil and apply it over my heart and chest when I feel overwhelmed or anxious.

Breathe: If I’m feeling congested or anxious, this blend helps me breathe more deeply and sleep more soundly.
When I Need Extra Support:

Deep Blue for sore muscles after a workout or long day of standing.

Oregano (diluted!) for immune support at the first sign of a cold.

Melaleuca (Tea Tree) for skin irritations, breakouts, or to purify the air.
This routine isn’t just about essential oils—it’s about creating moments of intentional care throughout the day. These rituals help me stay grounded when things feel out of balance. And the best part? They’re completely natural and customizable based on how I feel.
